CrackMagik is a brushable elastomeric sealant for mortar joints used to repair exterior cracks in mortar on chimneys, brick walls and between concrete or stone masonry units. The product seals larger cracks and other defects that cannot be corrected with water repellents alone.

CrackMagik seals cracks up to 1/8 inch wide on brick faces and at mortar and brick joint interfaces to provide waterproof protection. It dries to a clear, translucent, milky film. CrackMagik prevents water infiltration and subsequent damage, yet allows water vapor to escape.

When applied to a properly prepared wall or chimney surface, CrackMagik can solve tough leak problems without the expense of tuck pointing or surface grouting.

CrackMagik is a chimney sealant product formulated specifically for mortar joints. This chimney waterproofing product is ideally used in combination with ChimneySaver Water Repellent to prevent leaking brick chimneys.

• CrackMagik can be used as a remedial control agent to protect above ground masonry wall mortar joints that have failed due to: (1) poor joint design; (2) inadequate bonding between mortar and masonry units; and (3) structural damage. CrackMagik will not significantly change the original appearance of most walls, chimneys or masonry surfaces. A slight gloss will occur on dense surfaces.
• Coverage rate is approximately 100 sq. ft. per 1/2 gallon container (or the mortar joints surrounding approx. 550 bricks).
• When using the product to fill larger voids, CrackMagik will dry to a translucent milky film that masks the unsightly black appearance of large cracks and voids. CrackMagik is applied with specially designed brushes to head and bed joints, or to damaged areas on brick faces, stone or other masonry units.

Surface and air temperatures should be a minimum of 40°F and maximum of 100°F for two hours following application. Do not apply to frozen or frost covered surfaces. Application must be to clean, sound and relatively dry surfaces (can be applied to slightly damp surfaces). Do not apply to wet or water saturated
substrates or when rainfall is expected within two hours. Keep product from freezing.
